Minneapolis Police Investigate Fatal Shooting of 25-Year-Old Woman

Minneapolis police are investigating the death of a 25-year-old woman found with a gunshot wound near the 3300 block of 10th Avenue South on Sunday afternoon.

Officers responded to a call at around 12:30 p.m. after family members, using cellphone location data, discovered the victim’s body. The family had not heard from her since Saturday night.

“My heart aches for this family,” said Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara. “The thought that a family member is murdered is unbearable. We ask anyone with information to immediately contact our investigators.”

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the victim’s identity at a later date. Authorities urge anyone with information about the case to come forward.
