Chaos in St. Paul: Police Hunt Suspects After Man Shot in the Neck

St. Paul police are searching for suspects after a man was shot early Monday on the city’s east side, sparking a chaotic scene that unfolded for hours.

Around 3:30 a.m., multiple 911 calls reported gunfire on the 900 block of Arcade Street. When officers arrived, they found evidence of a shooting but no victim or suspects. Minutes later, police discovered a man with a gunshot wound to the neck on Arch Street—later confirmed as the victim from Arcade.

The man was rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Witnesses said multiple people fled into a nearby apartment complex after the shots rang out, prompting SWAT teams to flood the scene and block off Arcade Street. Police used megaphones to communicate as the area remained locked down into the morning.

No arrests have been made, and police say there’s no ongoing threat to the public. The search for suspects continues.
