Late Thursday night, a man in his 20s was ambushed in a Minneapolis alley, shot in the chest, and had his vehicle stolen by a group of five suspects. The incident occurred around 11:25 p.m. in the 3900 block of 11th Avenue South. The critically wounded victim received immediate medical attention before being transported to Hennepin County Medical Center. The suspects, both male and female, fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle and possibly a second one. No arrests have been made. This carjacking adds to the approximately 250 such incidents in Minneapolis this year, reflecting a 10% decrease from the previous year.
