ST. PAUL, MN – Two minors are in custody following an hours-long police operation that shut down part of a major roadway in St. Paul early Tuesday.
Officers responded to an apartment complex at 95 North Lexington Parkway around 5:30 a.m. after reports of multiple gunshots. SWAT teams were deployed to the scene, and nearby residents were evacuated to a Metro Transit bus for safety and warmth.
By 8:30 a.m., police initially reported that an adult and a teenager had been arrested. However, authorities later clarified that both individuals taken into custody were minors.
Despite the intense police response, no injuries were reported. The investigation remains ongoing, and streets in the area, which had been blocked off, have since reopened.
