Twin Cities (Minneapolis–Saint Paul):

  • Saturday, February 8: Snow is expected to continue into the early afternoon, with additional accumulations of 2 to 4 inches. Breezy conditions may lead to blowing and drifting snow, making streets and sidewalks slippery. The high will be around 22°F (-5°C), with a low near -1°F (-18°C).
  • Sunday, February 9: Partly sunny skies are anticipated, with a high of 20°F (-7°C) and a low of 2°F (-17°C).

Severe Weather Alert: A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6:00 PM CST today for portions of central, east-central, south-central, and southeast Minnesota, as well as west-central Wisconsin. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are expected. Plan for slippery road conditions and exercise caution while traveling.

  • Duluth:
    • Saturday: Periods of snow into the early afternoon, with additional accumulations of 1 to 2 inches. High near 19°F (-7°C); low around -7°F (-22°C).
    • Sunday: Partly to mostly sunny and cold, with a high of 18°F (-8°C) and a low of -3°F (-20°C).
  • Rochester:
    • Saturday: Snow, with additional accumulations of 2 to 4 inches. Breezy conditions expected. High near 25°F (-4°C); low around 3°F (-16°C).
    • Sunday: Mostly cloudy, with a high of 23°F (-5°C) and a low of 7°F (-14°C).
  • St. Cloud:
    • Saturday: Snow into the early afternoon, with additional accumulations of 2 to 4 inches. Becoming breezy with blowing and drifting snow. High near 20°F (-7°C); low around -12°F (-24°C).
    • Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high of 17°F (-8°C) and a low of -7°F (-22°C).

Additional snow accumulations of up to 1 inch are expected. Plan for slippery road conditions and exercise caution while traveling.

General Advisory:

A strong storm is forecasted to bring heavy snowfall to parts of the Upper Great Lakes and Northeastern US starting Saturday. The National Weather Service expects 4 to 8 inches of snow in parts of Minnesota and the Great Lakes, with hazardous travel conditions due to low visibility and snow-covered roads.
